  The late Johnny Hubbard poses on the tire of the Avolio Ford-powered sprinter. The Johnstown driver got his start driving for Piney Lasky and advanced to the USAC ranks, before losing his life in a modified accident at the Reading Fairgrounds.
  Tommy Serokman, son of famed driver Mike ‘Little’ Serokman drove this modified on the quarter-mile Jennerstown track.

  Another Serokman shot, this time with his Edmunds super sprint. Serokman’s cars were always painted cream, and carried the ‘Mighty Mouse’ cartoon logo. Serokman competed in modifieds, supers, sprint cars and late models at Jennerstown.
  Milt Miller was a crowd favorite and a track champion driving Orville Conner’s unique 426 Chrysler ‘Hemi-Hummer’ sprint car.
  Elmer Ruby of Artemus was always a threat for the checkered driving his fathers Old German Beer sponsored Trevis sprinter.
  Rollie Smith drove this Ford-powered ’37 Chevrolet modified for Latrobe car owner George Kittey. Kittey later became the last promoter of the old quarter-mile Jennerstown oval.
  Pittsburgh driver Joe Viglione raced this 1934 Chevrolet coupe to many wins.
  Windber’s Bobby Marhefka flat tows one of his early modified rides. No fancy enclosed haulers in the 1960’s! ‘Robert John’ went on to become a big winner in the supers and late models on the half-mile.
  Blackie Watt was always fast in Joe Pitkavich’s Chrysler-powered ’37 Ford. Watt set fast time at the 1962 Langhorne National Open driving this car, besting over 150 other drivers.

  Hartford, Ohio’s Lou Blaney was the driver to beat on the half-mile Jennerstown oval when super sprints were the featured attraction.
  Bud Cryster traveled from Morgantown, WV to compete weekly in the Jennerstown sprint car ranks.
  Johnstown’s Jimmy Burns, a professional florist, was a front runner in the early sixties driving this Pontiac-powered modified.
