Vietnam Commemorative Flyover Scheduled For
Jennerstown's NASCAR Double Header
Jennerstown, Pa.-(June 15, 1999)-As a special tribute to
Vietnam veterans, Jennerstown Speedway has incorporated
a commemorative fly-over into the NASCAR Double Header
Saturday, June 19th.
The Double Header will feature two of NASCAR's most
popular regional touring divisions, the Featherlite
Modified Series and the Busch Grand National North
Series. The fly-over will consist of two Grumman OV-1D
Mohawks, plus the center piece C-123K known as the
"Thunder Pig."
The Thunder Pig and Mohawks will take to the skies
at 7:00 p.m. during the traditional playing of the
pre-race National Anthem. Gates for the NASCAR Double
Header will open at 11:00 a.m. Advanced ticket orders
are now being taken $25, or pay $30 at the gate.
