Jennerstown To Host ISMA Supermodifieds, Ron Hornaday and Son

Jennerstown, Pa.-(Aug. 5, 1999)-The International Supermodified Association will make its only visit to Pennsylvania on Saturday, August 14th at Jennerstown Speedway for the NAPA Auto Parts 100. Two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck champion Ron Hornaday Jr. and his son Ron Hornaday III will make special appearances, both racing in NAPA Late Model competition.

For race fans, it is not uncommon to see a pack of winged supers three and four abreast, darting in and out of traffic and changing lanes in the middle of the turns.
"The ISMA Supermodifieds are very unique race cars," Speedway General Manager Bob Duvall said. "They carry a tremendous amount of speed around Jennerstown and average around 140 miles per hour. Race fans will definitely get their money's worth and more for this event."
Jennerstown marks the 10th stop in the ISMA Supermodified 18-race schedule. The supers race in nine states, including New York, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Pat Abold of Pennellville, N.Y., scored the last victory in an ISMA Supermodified at Jennerstown.
