Awteys take first, second at Jennerstown Speedway

Bryan Awtey claimed the Street Stock divison at Jennerstown, while brother Barry fell short in the Super Late Model division to winner Jason Mignogna. Mignogna is the current points leader (244), but Barry Awtey is just four points behind. Mignogna has three feature wins to Awtey’s one.

Bryan Awtey, a Jenners native, currently sits in ninth place in the Street Stock division. Lauren Bulter and Andrew Kostelnick are tied for first place in the division with 216 points apiece.

Deidre Petrie earned a Hobby Stock victory, while Sam King and Heath Hendershot split the Super Mini-Cup double feature Saturday night. Petrie (236) currently sits in second place, four points behind Rockwood’s Steve Long (240) in the Hobby Stock division.

The next two weeks of racing action will feature the three main divisions of racing.
