JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

Jennerstown, PA - January 8, 2007 Jennerstown Speedway, one of the finest and oldest short track racing facilities in the nation, will operate in the 2008 season under new management. Track owners, Dave and Jen Wheeler, have worked out a lease agreement with their Director of Operations, Joe Dirienzo, effective the first of January. Even though Dave's five year plan has come to a close, Joe will continue Dave's plan to keep local short track racing alive in Jennerstown. Joe has been working under Dave and Jen since they purchased the speedway back in 2002.

The plan is to run the Super Late Model, Street Stock and Hobby Stock divisions in a twelve to thirteen week season beginning the end of May running through the end of August. The finalized schedule and rules will be released very soon to allow drivers and fans the opportunity to make their plans for the season. The schedule will include special events that have been a part of the schedule in years past along with some new.
