JENNERSTOWN FORCED
TO CANCEL SEPT. 2 RACE PROGRAM
JENNERSTOWN, PA (Sept.
2) … Heavy rain showers delivered by tropical storm Ernesto forced
Jennerstown Speedway to cancel Saturday evenings ‘Labor Night’ fan
appreciation presentation of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series racing
action at the half-mile paved Somerset County oval.
“A heavier than
expected all night storm, and the expectation of rain showers throughout
the day will make our parking lots pretty much unusable,” said speedway
General Manager Larry Mattingly.

the 2006 Jennerstown schedule. Next Saturday, Sept. 9 will feature a
Steelers Salute, honoring the 2005 National Football League (NFL) Super
Bowl champions. Steelers running back Verron Haynes and linebacker James
Harrison will be on hand to participate in a free autograph session.

Hall, a scaled down replica of the building located within Heinz Field,
will also be appearing. The great Hall exhibit will feature Steelers
highlight films, NFL displays, interactive activities and a prize wheel
awarding free merchandise. Capping off the evening will be the final
fireworks display of the season.
The following
Saturday, Sept. 16, will feature ‘Championship Night’, which will be
highlighted by the crowning of the 2006 NASCAR divisional champions,
Additionally, the super mini-cups have also been added to the race card.
The traditional
