GORDON AND HUFFMAN ENTER JENNERSTOWN HOOTERS PROCUP
EVENT
JENNERSTOWN, PA (May 19, 2006) – Defending United Speed
Alliance Racing (USAR) National Champion Benny Gordon
and 2005 USAR Southern Division champion Shane Huffman
will renew their intense rivalry Sat. May 27 at
Jennerstown Speedway, when the half-mile Somerset County
oval presents the Hooters ProCup Naturally Fresh 250
presented by Predator Performance.
| The contest,
which is part of the Northern Series
championship, carries a great deal of importance
for Gordon, as the DuBois driver is attempting
to win his third consecutive North crown. After
four events Gordon currently holds a 30-point
margin over Jeff Agnew.
Huffman is not
eligible to collect Northern Series points, but
will be using Jennerstown as a practice session
for the Sept. National.Championship contest at
the Laurel Highlands speedplant. Huffman, who
this year is driving for the team owned by
NASCAR Nextel Cup star Dale Earnhardt Jr, has
already tasted victory this season, and would
like nothing better than to defeat Gordon at his
home track. |

championship points, but it’s going to count for
something. We’re going to be ready for them.”
Other Southern
Division drivers entered thus far include:
Michelle Theriault, Andrew Rogers, Jody
Lavender, Brett Butler, and former national
champion Bobby Gill. |

Shane Huffman |
Johnny
Rumley, currently tied for fourth in the points chase,
