JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY SEEKS SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYEE
Jennerstown, PA – Sept. 4, 2005 – Jennerstown Speedway
management are seeking financial support for a true
member of our extended racing family, one of our
employees, Doug Winning.
Doug
is a dedicated security official with the Speedway, and
a thirty year volunteer fire veteran, who has developed
a life threatening medical situation which requires
regular treatments. Throughout this trying ordeal, Doug
has strived to continue his arduous race night duties,
without objection or complaint. Unfortunately, Doug’s
personal medical insurance has reached its maximum,
which has forced the early termination of his
treatments, resulting in the steadying decline of his
condition.
Jennerstown Speedway has begun to collect contributions
from fans, drivers, sponsors, and employees to help Doug
manage to pay for the much needed treatments. A race
night helmet drive, combined with other creative fund
raising activities have already begun at Jennerstown,
and will continue throughout the remainder of the 2005
race season, and beyond. We are now asking for
additional assistance in our unrelenting efforts.
A
special fund will soon be established with a local
banking institution, so that concerned members of the
racing community can join together, in order to help
Doug continue his fight against the ever increasing
effects of this disease. This information will be shared
as soon as it becomes available. If you would care
enough to contribute at this time you can contact the
Jennerstown Speedway office by phone at 814.629.6677 or
via the web address at
www.jennerstown.com or by mail at:
Jennerstown Speedway, Inc

While
the nation bands together to help the multitude who have
recently been devastated by natural disasters, it is
still a time to remember that we can each help to
improve the condition of a deserving individual, simply
by taking a moment to walk in their shoes.
Thank
You
