Fast
Moving Cars |

That is what you're going to see this weekend....Fast
Moving Cars. As the
Championship Series begins for the Hooters ProCup
Series, Rob Marhefka and
the entire Marhefka Motorsports team prepare to get
serious.
After a somewhat uneventful regular season where the #85
team took care to
chose their battle wisely, its now time to race. To
prepare for the next
five races Marhefka Motorsports went all out. A new
motor was built and a
much needed makeover was done to the chassis. Driver
Robby Marhefka
explains, "Not being the best financed team on the
circuit we had to be a
bit conservative in our approach during the regular
season, our car was not
handling very well, and our motor was aging, we knew we
needed to just make
it into the championship series. Once we got to that
point we wanted to
re-evaluate the situation and after a bunch of
consistent mid-pack runs we
finished with a straight car. So we decided to get the
car down to Hess's
and get it figured out, we built a new motor after
destroying one at
Illiana. We are in a perfect position to have a strong 5
race series."
This race means a little more than the rest of the
Championship races, as
Jennerstown Speedway is Robby's former home track. There
will be an extra
large cheering section as there is at every Jennerstown
ProCup race. Robby
has many friends and family that will be attending.
Including those who
possibly be attending are a few members of The Clarks.
On a rare Saturday
night off for the band, a few members plan to be on hand
to sign some
autographs and catch the #85 in action.
