The final race of the PA Legacy Series, powered by
Romesburg Media, in the 2004 were cancelled due to
the heavy rains associated with the remnants of
Hurricane Ivan that hit the Laurel Highlands on
Friday into early Saturday which made the speedway
grounds just too saturated for fans and drivers.
Saturday morning most of the pit area was under
floodwaters. Jennerstown Speedway management was
forced to cancel the final night of points in the
2004 season. Thus, point champion was determined by
the point standings coming into this weekend.
Rookie of the year in the 2003, Kyle Martel,
followed up that award with the 2004 PA Legacy
Series Championship. Kyle Martel had 4 wins this
season with 12 starts. Congratulations to Kyle
Martel and his team.
Next Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Jennerstown
Speedway, the PA Legacy Series will host the Allison
Legacy National Event. Drivers from 9 states are
scheduled to participate.
The PA Legacy Series will honor it’s participates at
the Jennerstown Speedway banquet to be held on
October 16, 2004 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort.
