Dave Campbell picks up
2nd Feature Win in the PA Legacy Series
On
a perfect night for a race, the fans at Jennerstown
Speedway got to see a very competitive field of
legacy cars. After a rain out last week, the
drivers were anxious to get started and from the
drop of the green flag, the competition heated up.
With the Brink brothers, Dan and Chris, coming down
to the green flag, the atmosphere was tense. Once
the green flag dropped, the Chris Brink took the
lead with PJ Ehrlich passing him a few laps later.
A caution flag slowed the field after contact was
made in turn 2 that collected 4 cars. Once the
green flag was shown to the field, a five-car battle
among Dave Campbell, Brett Boyer, PJ Ehrlich, Jayme
Bolkovac and Kyle Martel. Campbell made it 3 cars
wide to complete his pass for the lead and never
looked back. At the checkered flag, it was Campbell
followed by PJ Ehrlich, Brett Boyer, Jayme Bolkovac,
and Kyle Martel. Heat race winners were Dave
Campbell and PJ Ehrlich.
Some of the PA Legacy Series competitors will be
traveling to Lake Erie Speedway next Saturday night
to compete in the Allison Legacy Series National 50
Lap Event.
Next scheduled night of racing for the PA Legacy
Series will be at Jennerstown Speedway on Saturday,
June 26, 2004.
