Ehrlich at Motordrome Speedway; Jayme Bolkovac at Jennerstown
Speedway
The PA Legacy Series, powered by
Romesburg Media, made a scheduled appearance at Motordrome
Speedway on Friday, August 6, 2004. At the drop of the green
flag in the feature event, Kyle Martel jumped out to an early
lead with PJ Ehrlich and Dave Campbell battling for position.
On lap 12, PJ Ehrlich took over the lead position and went on to
win the feature event. Behind PJ Ehrlich was Kyle Martel, Dave
Campbell, Brad Grace and Andrew Wylie. Heat race winner was
Kyle Martel.
On Saturday Night, the PA Legacy
Series, powered by Romesburg Media, was at Jennerstown
Speedway. Brett Boyer led the first two laps of the PA Legacy
Series feature event before giving way to Kyle Martel. The
battle for the lead was tight early on with as many as six
drivers all in the lead pack. After a lengthy delay for oil
around the speedway, the lap 11 restart saw Jayme Bolkovac jump
into the lead only to give it up a lap later to P.J. Ehrlich.
PJ Ehrlich would be sent to the rear of the field after jumping
a late race restart, handing the lead back to Jayme Bolkovac.
From there Jayme Bolkovac would hold off the challenges of Kyle
Martel and go onto take her first win of the year at
Jennerstown. Rounding out the top five were PJ Ehrlich, who
made a hard charge back to finish third, Dave Campbell and Brett
Boyer.
The PA Legacy Series will have a
week off due to the ASA race at Jennerstown Speedway. The next
race weekend will have the PA Legacy Series at Motordrome
Speedway on Friday, August 20, 2004 and at Jennerstown Speedway
on Saturday, August 21, 2004.
