BROWN,
COLARUSSO REVISIT VICTORY LANE – LASKY AND RENO SPLIT
PRO TRUCK WINS AT JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY
28
June 2003
(Jennerstown, PA) At long last, Western Pennsylvania had
a rain-free Saturday and Jennerstown Speedway celebrated
by putting on a fantastic night of motorsports action!
In the
Rolling Rock Late Model feature, Neil Brown took the
lead on lap 30 and went on to win his fourth feature win
of 2003 at Jennerstown. While Chucky Keslar put on a
spirited performance early in the race leading the first
20 laps, the caution flag kept bunching the pack back up
enabling Brown to skillfully maneuver his way to the
front. Neil Brown was followed by Bobby Henry, Barry
Awtey, Chucky Keslar and Mark Cottone in the top five
finishers. Brown and Awtey were the heat race winners.
In the
first of two races of the Tommy Gale Haulmark Trailers
Pro Trucks, Jason Lasky took the lead on lap 7 and
simply dominated the feature. At the end he held a
straight-away’s length lead over the field. Lasky was
followed by Todd Price, Marion Reno, Jr., Adam Kostelnik
and Josh Coughenour in the top five.
In
race two of the Tommy Gale/Haulmark Trailers Pro Trucks,
2002 division champ Marion Reno, Jr. dominated the
feature by leading from the drop of the green to the
drop of the checkered winning his second feature race of
2003. Reno was followed by Todd Price, Jason Lasky, Josh
Coughenour and Eugene Ciferno in the top five. Lasky was
the heat race winner.
The
Jennerstown Speedway Modifieds, Mike Bakalon survived
early race incidents, led every lap and won his second
feature race of 2003. Paul Urso, Bob Bentz, Jr., George
Nicola and Jason Busch rounded out the top five. Paul
Urso was the heat race winner.
The
Jennerstown Speedway Street Stocks, Dink Colarusso
started sixth, took the lead on lap 14 and went on to
win his seventh feature in eight races at Jennerstown.
Colarusso was followed by June Weyant, Billy Mostoller,
Roger Onstead and Jeff Petrini in the top five.
Colarusso was also the heat race winner.
The
Pennsylvania Legacy Series saw P.J. Erlich and Jayme
Bolkovac fighting it out for the lead for most of the
race. But Erlich would prevail after Bolkovac and Kyle
Martle made contact late in the race enabling Erlich to
shoot out with the lead. Erlich, Martel, Brett Boyer,
Jayme Bolkovac and Rick Boyer make up the top five
finishers. Martel and Bolkovac were the heat race
winners.
In the
Jennerstown Speedway Chargers, Greg Praysner took off
with the lead and left the pack in his dust as he led
every lap putting him in victory lane for the third time
in 2003. He was followed by Chantal Germek, Phill
Grubbs, Mike Stevens and Scott Bowman in the top five.
Praysner was also the heat race winner.
Patrick Parlock was the winner of the Mens Enduro
feature. He was followed by Erik Dapra, Gregory Lohr,
Terry McCoy and Deidre Petrie in the top five.
