CHASE TO THE CHECKERED WRAPS UP 2003 TELEVISION SEASON THIS SATURDAY MORNING

(Somerset, PA) As the 2003 racing season comes to a close throughout Western Pennsylvania, so does this year’s season of the award winning motorsports television program Chase to the Checkered.

Produced by Romesburg Media, the award-winning Chase to the Checkered currently covers the races, drivers and events at Jennerstown Speedway in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania. It is the only show of its kind on the east coast and one of only a handful of broadcast programs throughout the United States that covers the action at one racing venue.

Chase to the Checkered, better known as “C2C,” is broadcast weekly to over 1.46 Million households on WNPA-TV UPN-19 in Pittsburgh and WJAC-TV in Johnstown/Altoona. It airs Saturday mornings at 8:30 in Pittsburgh and 9:00 in Johnstown.

In addition to earning national and international television production awards, C2C recently received motorsports industry accolades from the American Speed Association. “(Chase to the Checkered) is an excellent presentation that is probably the best I’ve seen of any locally produced racetrack programs in my eight years with ASA,” said series Media Director Mike Miller.

“I am proud of my crew and the product that we have given to the fans of asphalt racing this year,” said C2C Executive Producer Jarred Romesburg. “I am already looking forward to next year where C2C will be bigger and better than ever!”

This week’s episode will cover the races from Saturday, September 20th and will also include the “Salute to the Champions” segment that highlights the 2003 champions from each of the NASCAR Weekly and PA Legacy Series divisions.
