Lapped Traffic Ruins Run For Team Lasky
(Jennerstown, PA)…… What looked to be the first visit to victory lane for
the WUZZ 97.7, Med Temp Services Silverado was not to be. Driver Jason Lasky
had a very impressive run in the heat race, moving from sixth to first in
eight laps, to capture the heat race win. The Johnstown driver then started
from the coveted pole-position in the twenty-five lap main event.
The Fuel City/Advance Auto Parts Silverado was hooked up as Jason ran
door-to-door for three laps with the #96 of Todd Price. Jason then took
control of the first-place position and was off to a very strong run. Jason
pulled ahead of the competition for the next eight laps until he approached
lapped traffic. As Jason exited turn 2, he was hit by a lapped truck
resulting in some right front suspension damage.
A caution that occurred on the same lap brought the field back together.
With some right front suspension damage, the North Star Equipment Pro Truck
continued on, but not in the same dominant fashion as earlier in the race.
Jason was able to hold onto second until lap 22 when he could not longer
keep the ill-handling truck at a competitive speed.
When the checkered flag dropped, the Lasky Motor Sports Pro Truck had to
settle for a disappointing sixth-place finish.
Next Saturday, May 10th, again features 5 division racing as well as
Legacies, and Mens’ and Ladies’ Enduros at Jennerstown Speedway.
