JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY, KEY 95 AND SCHEFFEL
EQUIPMENT MAKE LAWN MOWING EASIER FOR A LUCKY FAN THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

(Jennerstown, PA) Jennerstown Speedway will be rocking
the Laurel Highlands this weekend with eight feature races, a speeding lawn
mower and one lucky fan.
This Saturday night, Jennerstown Speedway, Scheffel
Equipment and Johnstown radio station WKYE-FM (Key 95) will be entertaining
fans with a unique promotion – a chance to win a new John Deere riding lawn
mower! Key 95 will choose ten listeners during on air giveaways throughout
this week. Then, they will select five race fans that register Saturday
night at Jennerstown Speedway.
The lucky fifteen fans will be lined up on the front
stretch of Jennerstown Speedway. Key 95 morning personality Jack Michaels
will put a small amount of gasoline in the riding lawn mower. He will then
begin to drive it around the line of race fans. Whichever fan it stalls in
front of wins the lawn tractor!
Plus, fans will get more than their money’s worth will
all of the racing action on tap.
The Tommy Gale/Haulmark Trailers Pro Trucks will be
running twin 25 lap features. The first feature will be a make-up race from
this past Saturday’s rained-out schedule.
Alum Bank, PA’s Todd Price will have to drive hard in
both features to maintain his lead in the division points with Jason Lasky
only twelve points behind him in second place.
The night will also include Neil Brown in his “Silver
Bullet” trying to get back into victory lane and keep his lead in the
Rolling Rock Late Model points as well as his second place position in the
NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Northeastern Division standings.
Dink Colarusso will be going for his seventh win in
eight races Saturday night in the Jennerstown Speedway Street Stocks.
Jayme Bolkovac and Rick Boyer are tied at the top of
the PA Legacy Series points. Only one of these drivers will drive away with
the points lead after Saturday night.
The tire squealing action of the Mens Enduros is
scheduled to wrap up the night of racing at the Laurel Highlands Oval.
Adult Admission for all of this Saturday night’s
motorsports action is just $10. Children 12 and under will be admitted for
free. Pit gates will open at 2PM, grandstand gates will open at 3PM, and
racing will begin a6PM.
To celebrate Independence Day, next Saturday night,
Jennerstown Speedway presents Fireworks Night! In addition to the engines
roaring around the Laurel Highlands Oval, the mountains will be trembling
with the sights and sounds of fireworks lighting up the night sky. The five
divisions of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series and the PA Legacy Series will be
racing. Adult Admission is just $10. Children 12 and under will be admitted
for free. Pit gates will open at 2PM, grandstand gates will open at 3PM, and
racing will begin at 6PM.
