JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY’S CHASE TO THE CHECKERED GOES INTO HIGH GEAR – DEBUTS ON WJAC-TV THIS SATURDAY MORNING!! 

(Somerset, PA) Westcentral Pennsylvania had better buckle its chinstrap! The award winning, local motorsports television program Chase to the Checkered takes its television airwaves this Saturday morning!  

Chase to the Checkered, or “C2C,”  debuts on WJAC-TV this Saturday morning at 9:00. C2C is a weekly, thirty-minute program that highlights the races, drivers and events at Jennerstown Speedway. C2C covers the racing of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series, the American Speed Association (ASA) and other events at the Laurel Highlands Oval. 

Produced by Romesburg Media, C2C provides race fans with an in-depth look at Jennerstown Speedway’s races, comments from the drivers, crews and owners, and detailed insight into other regional motorsports related topics. 

Chase to the Checkered originally aired in the early 1990’s for several seasons. Romesburg Media revived the program in 2002 airing it in the Johnstown/Altoona/State College market on WWCP-TV.  

Now in 2003, C2C can be seen in over 1.46 Million households from Steubenville, OH to State College, PA. C2C also airs weekly on UPN 19 in Pittsburgh as well as WJAC. 

The award-winning Chase to the Checkered is the only regional television program of its kind and is one of only a handful of locally produced, non-news television programs on the air in the region.
