CHASE TO THE CHECKERED RE-LAUNCHES INTO
JOHNSTOWN THIS SATURDAY MORNING
(Somerset, PA) Race fans throughout western and
central Pennsylvania will once again be able to fill their need for speed
this Saturday morning as the popular motorsports television program Chase to
the Checkered returns to the airwaves of WJAC-TV in Johnstown at 9:00AM.
Chase to the Checkered, or C2C, was temporarily
bumped from the NBC affiliate's airwaves due to the network's Saturday
morning coverage of the French Open, Wimbledon and required children's
programming.
During this time, C2C could be seen in over a
million homes in the Pittsburgh market Saturday mornings at 8:30 on WNPA-TV
UPN 19. Now, with the re-addition of WJAC at 9:00AM, the show will be
delivered to nearly 1.5 million homes throughout the region every Saturday.
"We were disappointed to learn of the temporary
loss of the Johnstown market," commented C2C Executive Producer Jarred
Romesburg. "But we will now be on the air uninterrupted through the end of
Jennerstown Speedway's 2003 regular season on both UPN 19 and WJAC Saturday
mornings."
Romesburg added, "I would like to thank the fans
for their patience and for all of the feedback they have been sending the
C2C crew. We are proud of the work we do and thank them all for inviting us
into their living rooms every Saturday morning."
