(Saturday, August
23, 2003) Under clear skies for the first time
in weeks, race fans at Jennerstown Speedway were
treated to a great night of racing Saturday
night.
The Pennsylvania Legacy Series returned to
Jennerstown Speedway after being absent for
nearly a month and returning with them was 2002
Series Champ Joey Dennewitz. P.J. Ehrlich was
the driver to beat taking the lead on lap 4.
Racing side by side was Dennewitz and Ehrlich
for much of the race, but in the race's later
laps, Ehrlich began to experience handling
problems and was involved in two incidents.
Dennewitz took the lead on lap 19 and held on to
the front spot till the end. The Akron, OH
driver was followed by Kyle Martel, Chris Brink,
Brett Boyer and Jayme Bolkovac. Heat race
winners were Joey Dennewitz and Kyle Martel.
The next scheduled event for the PA Legacy
Series will be Saturday, September 6, 2003 at
Jennerstown Speedway. With only a handful of
races remaining on the 2003 schedule, the points
race is getting interesting.
