Persistent Rain Showers Force Cancellation at Jennerstown Speedway 

 

JENNERSTOWN, PA (July 27, 2002) – Due to persistent rain showers and the forecast for severe weather in the area, Jennerstown Speedway officials were forced to cancel the racing events for Saturday, July 27, 2002.  The scheduled events will be moved to August 10, 2002 when Arnold Palmer Motors & True Value will present twin 50-lap Wheeler Bros./AC Delco Late Model races, twin 15-lap 96.5 Mountain Charger races, regular racing in the Tommy Gale/Haulmark Trailers Pro Trucks, Cenwest Street Stocks and Cover Insurance Agency/PA Legacy Series.  A Mens Enduro race will cap off the nights activities.  Adult ticket price will be $15.00 with kids 12 and under free with an adult. 

Next Saturday, August 3, 2002 Jennerstown Speedway will welcome the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series to the Laurel Highlands Oval.  Come catch America’s “Premier Short-track Series” as they race for 250 laps around Jennerstown Speedway in the Hooters Pro Cup 250.  Plus don’t miss the Naturally Fresh Late Model Challenge Series for the Wheeler Bros./AC Delco Late Models.  This will be the third of five races in the series.  The fan favorite “Spectator $500” contest is also on the schedule.
