MITCHELL RETURNS TO ROOTS AT RICHMOND

MOORESVILLE, NC (Sept. 2) .......... West Virginia driver Richard Mitchell
will return to his 'roots' Friday Sept. 6 when he attempts to qualify his
Coach USA / Mountaineer Gaming / West Virginia Wild and Wonderful Chevrolet
Monte Carlo for the Funai 250 NASCAR BUSCH Series race at Richmond
International Raceway.

The Richmond track is a 0.75 mile D-shaped short track, which should be just
what the doctor ordered for Mitchell, a two-time NASCAR Northeast region
Weekly Racing Series champion.

"I learned to race at Jennerstown and Motordrome Speedways (two
NASCAR-sanctioned half mile tracks located in western Pennsylvania),"
Mitchell said, "so Richmond will be comparable size-wise to what I cut my
teeth on at home.  I have been racing on intermediate and superspeedways all
year, so it will feel good to run on a short track again."

The West Virginia University graduate also is hoping Richmond will bring a
change to his BUSCH Series fortunes.  After qualifying for his first two
races at Nashville Superspeedway on speed, Mitchell has failed to make the
fields at recent Chicagoland and Michigan events.

"The past couple of races have been tough on everyone associated with our
team," Mitchell commented, "hopefully we can get things turned around at
Richmond."

Mitchell and his Coach USA team tested at Richmond for two-days last week
preparing for the Sept. 6 contest.

"We were able to learn a great deal about the car and my driving technique at
the test," Mitchell added, "we have made a number of changes which should
help to make us more competitive going into the Richmond race."

The Richmond Funai 250 will be televised live at 8:00 PM (EDT) on the TNT
cable network.  The race also will be broadcast live on the MRN radio network.
