Geisler
makes Hills Bros. All-Pro Series debut
PITTSBURGH, PA
(October 4th, 2002)…Travis Geisler will make his Hills Bros.
All-Pro Series debut at Memphis Motorsports Park on October
19, 2002. Geisler, who won 7 NASCAR Weekly Racing Series (NWRS)
late model events at Motordrome Speedway this season, will
drive a Lefthander Chassis recently purchased from Hemphill
Racing.
After his
strong season in the NWRS, Geisler decided to move up to the
next level. “My goal is to make a career in racing and the
thought this was a logical next step for me. Ryan (Hemphill)
was able to use his success in the All-Pro series to move on
and I hope to be able to do the same. It is a competitive
series and I look forward to this new challenge.”
Geisler,
currently a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering at
Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, is scheduled to
graduate in May of 2003. Geisler believes his schooling has
helped speed his learning curve in racing. “Racing is a tough
sport because there are so many variables, you have to be able
to quickly adapt to the new setups. I believe that my four
years of late model racing, coupled with my education, have
enabled me to understand the car and what adjustments are
needed to make it better.”
Minton & Sons
Custom Homes, #1 Cochran Automotive, Anex Warehouse and
Distribution, along with AFCO Racing Products, Geisler’s
current sponsors, will be features on the red & white #12. In
addition, Moats Enterprises from Nashville will help support
the effort. The Speed Channel will televise the race December
9th at 8pm EST. For more information about Travis Geisler,
