SPEEDWAY’S CHASE TO THE CHECKERED TO AIR IN PITTSBURGH
TELEVISION MARKET ON 2003
(Somerset, PA) Romesburg Media announced that the television
program “Chase to the Checkered” will be seen in the Pittsburgh
television market in 2003.
The popular motorsports television program will air on
Pittsburgh’s WNPA-TV UPN 19 Saturday mornings throughout the
summer. Chase to the Checkered, or “C2C,” is a weekly, half-hour
broadcast television program that highlights the races, drivers
and events at Jennerstown Speedway.
By airing on UPN-19, C2C will be seen in nearly 1.2 million
households throughout Western and Central Pennsylvania. It will
also reach hundreds of thousands of viewers in Ohio, West
Virginia and Maryland. In 2002, C2C aired on WWCP-TV Fox 8 in
Johnstown and was broadcast to over 280,000 households every
week during the racing season.
“This is an exciting step in the evolution of our show as well
as the evolution of motorsports in our region,” commented
Romesburg Media President and C2C Executive Producer Jarred
Romesburg. “The C2C empire takes our racing into more living
rooms than ever before. This further solidifies Jennerstown
Speedway’s position as the region’s premiere motorsports venue
and does so much for our drivers and sponsors.”
In October of 2002, Chase to the Checkered was announced as a
finalist in the 2002 National Aegis Awards for Sports Television
Productions.
