Speedway Under New Management
Jennerstown,
PA. (November 16, 2002) – Dave and Jennifer Wheeler of Somerset
are the new managers of Jennerstown Speedway after signing a
purchase/lease agreement Saturday morning. The signing of the
lease agreement will allow the new management to operate the
speedway until the purchase details can be completed. Plans are
to complete the purchase by the end of this year.
New manager Dave said, "We have been working hard for the last 2
months to put this deal together and fill race dates for next
year. We just want to see local racing at Jennerstown continue
to thrive."
Race dates for
the 2003 racing season are being filled at this time.
Confirmed
dates are:
2 USAR Hooters
ProCup Series Events; April 12th and October 4th.
1 ASA Series
Event; Saturday August 15th to be broadcast live on
the Speed Channel at 9:00 p.m.
A complete
Weekly Racing Series Schedule is planned as well.
The next event
is the Annual Awards Banquet on November 30, 2002 at the Four
Points Sheraton in Greensburg, PA.
