The PA Legacy
Series, sponsored by Cover Insurance, was at Jennerstown
Speedway on Saturday, May 25, 2002. With a full field of cars,
those in attendance were in for a treat. Joey Dennewitz and
Chris Brink won heat races.
Starting
“heads up” for the feature event, Dennewitz and Brink were side
by side from the drop of the green flag. Dennewitz took over
the lead early in the race and was chased by Brink and Brett
Boyer. The caution flag was shown on lap 17 for a spin by
Brink. On the restart, the battle was for the 4th
spot between Dave Holder and Dave Campbell. Campbell moved into
the 4th spot and was looking for third but ran out of
laps. At the checkered flag, Joey Dennewitz was the winner
followed by Brett Boyer, Kyle Martel, Dave Campbell and Dave
Holder.
The next
event for the PA Legacy Series will be next Saturday night, June
1, 2002, at Jennerstown Speedway. |
