- The PA Legacy Series,
sponsored by Cover Insurance, was at Jennerstown Speedway on
Saturday, June 22, 2002. The weather was hot and humid and
the action on the track was fast and furious. The heat race
was won by Joey Dennewitz of Akron, OH.

- The feature event saw Kyle
Martel jump into the early lead followed closely by Chris
Brink. Mid way through the race, Joey Dennewitz moved through
the field and passed Kyle Martel for the lead. At the half
way point, it was Dennewitz, Brett Boyer, Brink, Dave Holder
and Kyle Martel. A few laps later, Martel spins to bring out
the first of 2 cautions. The second caution came when Brett
Boyer spun on the front stretch after he and Chris Brink made
contact. On the restart, Chris Brink was pressuring Joey
Dennewitz for the lead but Dennewitz held him off. At the
finish line, it was Joey Dennewitz, Chris Brink, Dave Holder,
Dave Campbell and Brett Boyer.
