The PA Legacy Series sponsored by Cover Insurance was at Jennerstown Speedway this past Saturday night, August 25, 2002.  The feature event started out with heat race winners Brett Boyer and Chris Brink on the front row.  As Brett Boyer spun, the field was shown the caution flag and a complete restart.  At the green flag, the battle heated up between Chris Brink and PJ Ehrlich with PJ Ehrlich taking over the point a few laps later.  Caution flags were shown for spins several times during the event.  On each restart, the pressure was put to the # 70 of PJ Ehrlich by several competitors including Chris Brink and Rick Boyer but Ehrlich held on to claim the victory.  Points leader Joey Dennewitz finished 2nd after an early race spin.  Crossing the finish line in third was Dave Holder, followed by Bill Miller and Kyle Martel.
 
Next week, Saturday, August 31, 2002, the Allison Legacy National Event will be held at Jennerstown Speedway.  With competitors from 6 different states, the action should keep you on the edge of your seat.  The “Blue / Grey Shootout” has matched the best drivers from the PA Legacy Series to the best drivers from the South.  Such drivers as Blake Bainridge (1996), Ryan Hemphill (1997), Brian Vickers (1998), Mike Smith (2000) and Chad McCumbee (2001) have claimed victories in this race.
