FOREST RIVER MOTORHOMES JOINS MAC HILL MOTORSPORTS |
Waynesburg, PA (May 1) ... Forest River Inc., the nation’s
second largest
manufacturer of recreational travel trailers and fifth wheel
trailers will
join Mac Hill Motorsports and driver Richard Mitchell as an
associate
marketing partner on the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA)
RE/MAX
series.
“Twenty-seven percent of the fans attending ARCA races own some
type of
recreational vehicle. That is a staggering figure,” stated Art
Colvin,
general manager of the Forest River motorhome division. “With
the tremendous
growth of motorsports and the loyalty of the fan base towards
the sports
sponsors, becoming involved with the Mac Hill ARCA team was an
easy decision
for Forest River,” Colvin added.
As part of the partnership agreement, Forest River will provide
the Mac Hill
team with a fully equipped 35-foot Reflection model motorhome
for use
throughout the season.
“Our crew members will have all the comforts of home while they
are away
during the season” said Mac Hill team owner Jack McNelly.
“Having a Forest
River motorhome at the track will not only provide the team with
an on-site
command center, but also will eliminate the hassle of traveling
back and
forth to motels, battling race-day traffic and eating in
restaurants. The
convenience factor alone can’t be measured.”
In addition to motorhomes, the Goshen, Indiana, Forest River
also constructs
tent campers, towable recreation trailers, park models,
commercial
structures, cargo trailers, vehicle transporters and pontoon and
bass boats.
The Mac Hill Motorsports team will participate in an eight to
ten race ARCA
RE/MAX schedule during 2001. Driver Richard Mitchell, a
two-time NASCAR
Weekly Racing Series northeast region champion, will make his
series debut on
May 19 in the Easy Care 100 at the 1.5 mile Lowe’s Motor
Speedway in
Charlotte, NC.
