MITCHELL
JOINS COORS LIGHT TEAM |
Bruceton Mills, WV (March 20) ... NASCAR Weekly Racing Series
Northeast
region champion Richard Mitchell has agreed to join Neil Brown’s
Frank B.
Fuhrer Motorsports Coors Light team for selected late model
events at the
Motordrome and Jennerstown Speedways.
Mitchell, who also captured the 2000 Motordrome track
championship, will
compete in five to seven races driving as a team mate to Brown.
“Our main focus is on our new ARCA RE/MAX series program with
Mac Hill
Motorsports,” Mitchell stated, “but I will drive Neil’s car when
time
permits.”
Mitchell expects to compete in all of Motordrome’s
extra-distance races, as
well as Jennerstown’s recently announced 200-lap Fall Festival
contest.
The Bruceton Mills driver also announced another change for the
next
season...he will be changing chassis builders. Mitchell will
drive a new Bob
Hamke-built Monte Carlo, powered by a Jack Tant engine.
“Neil purchased my championship Port City car from last year, so
we have
essentially switched cars. I tested the Hamke car late last year
and was
impressed with its performance. We expect to be very
competitive,” added
Mitchell.
Mitchell’s new Coors Light ride will be painted silver and red,
and will
carry his familiar number 22. The car will be maintained by
Mitchell’s Mac
Hill Motorsports team.
