MITCHELL
TO START 18TH IN ARCA MICHIGAN EVENT

Michigan (June 7) … defending NASCAR Weekly Racing Series
Northeastern champion Richard Mitchell will start his Coach USA/
Forest River
Motorhomes Pontiac from the 18th starting slot in this
Saturday's ARCA RE/MAX
Series Flagstar 200 at the Michigan International Speedway.
The Bruceton Mills, WV native clocked a speed of 176.380 MPH
over the two
mile superspeedway in Thursday afternoon’s qualifying session.
“We would
have liked to have gone a little faster, but realistically, I am
satisfied
with our results,” Mitchell said. “This was our first timeout
with a new
car and no one on our team had ever seen the speedway (MIS)
before today,”
Mitchell added. “We spent most of the two-hour practice session
just trying
to get comfortable. We got faster ever every time we went out
onto the
track. Hopefully, we will be able to do that in Saturdays
race.”
Second-generation star Jason Jarrett captured the pole position
with a run of
185 MPH.
The Flagstar 200 will be telecast on a same-day tape-delayed
basis this
Saturday, June 9, beginning at 4:00 PM EDT on Fox Sports Net.
