JENNERSTOWN, PA (December 10, 2001) -
Jennerstown Speedway, LLC. is proud
to announce the addition of the Naturally Fresh Challenge
Series to its 2002 schedule. The Naturally Fresh
Challenge Series is a five race series for the Late Model
division, which will run in conjunction with the USAR Hooters
Pro Cup Series races in western Pennsylvania. Jennerstown
Speedway will host four Naturally Fresh Challenge Series
races - April 13, June 8, August 3, and October 5, 2002.
Motordrome Speedway located in Smithton, PA will host one race -
September 6, 2002.
At each race
the Late Model division will qualify with the Fast Time Award
Winner picking up $500. The top five qualifiers will then be
inverted for a five lap Dash For Cash with the winner collecting
$500. The Late Model 50-lap race will follow the headlining
USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series race. The Late Model drivers will
race to earn points towards the Naturally Fresh Challenge
Series Championship Point Fund currently worth $15,000.
This amount could increase as additional sponsors are found.
“The
Naturally Fresh Challenge Series is a very exciting series
for our local Late Model competitors. With a $15,000 point
fund, it definitely gives them incentive to run the races in
conjunction to our USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series races. A point
fund of this magnitude, with only five races involved is really
a step in the right direction for Jennerstown Speedway and
asphalt racing in western Pennsylvania. We are very proud to
have Naturally Fresh as a series sponsor. This will help
Naturally Fresh to market their fine products throughout the
Northern Series. We are currently working with other potential
sponsors to possibly increase the point fund money,” Jennerstown
Speedway president Steve Peles stated.
