DATE    July 1, 2001 

The PA Legacy Series, sponsored by Cover Insurance, was on hand at Jennerstown Speedway, Saturday, June 30, 2001, for their weekly show.  A good car count led to excitement on the track.  The heat race winners were Jayme Bolkovac and Will Thomas. – The points championship contenders. 

The feature was slow to start with Will Thomas missing a shift and stacking the outside row up behind him.  Todd Peck got the worse of it with a punctured radiator and had to watch the race from the pits.  Ricky Anderson and Jack Causer had body damage but continued.  On the restart, Bolkovac and Thomas were in a heated battle from the beginning and Marshall Biddington added to the excitement taking over the second position when Thomas slipped.  The caution flag was shown when Thomas tried to make it 3 wide and spun.  Ricky Anderson, after the first lap incident, moved up through the field into 3^rd place.  On lap 17, Marshall Biddington took over the top spot but would have to contend with a restart several laps later when Chris Brink spun in turn 4 and then again for a spin by Bill Miller which would set the field for another “green-white-checkered”.  On the restart, it was side by side action with Biddington and Bolkovac for the top spot and with Anderson and Thomas for 3^rd.  With a “bobble” coming out of turn 4 on the last lap, Bolkovac took over the lead and took the win.  Finishing 2^nd was Biddington.  Third place went to Anderson followed by Thomas and Branden Taylor.
