The Cover Insurance PA Legacy Series once again was an exciting 25 lap feature event with side by side racing and even a three wide battle late in the race for 2^nd place.  Heat race winners were rookie of the year contender, Todd Peck of Glenville, PA and veteran Ricky Anderson of Champion, PA. 

The feature event shown Jayme Bolkovac jumping out to an early lead and never looking back.  The battle was right behind her the entire race between Rick Boyer, Ricky Anderson, and Will Thomas.  Rookie Todd Peck moved into 5^th position on lap 5 and didn’t look back.  At half way, it was Bolkovac, Thomas, Boyer, Anderson, and Peck.  On lap 14, the caution flag was shown to the field for an incident on the front stretch between Joey Dennewitz and Marshall Biddington.  Both competitors were able to continue.  The three wide battle continued for 2^nd place with Will Thomas taking over the position on lap 18.  Caution was shown on lap 21 for a spin in turn 2 between Marshall Biddington and Chris Brink and again on the restart for a spin by the legacy car driven by Branden Taylor.  The restart consisted of side by side battle for first between Bolkovac and Boyer and for third with Thomas and Anderson.  At the checkered flag it was Jayme Bolkovac, Rick Boyer, Ricky Anderson, Todd Peck and Art McElhinney.  Coming out of turn 4, Will Thomas spun and finished a dissappointing 9^th place after running in the top 3 the entire race.

The PA Legacy Series will be competing at Motordrome Speedway next Friday night, May 11, 2001 and Saturday night, May 12, 2001 at Jennerstown Speedway.  Both tracks will be celebrating “Fan Appreciation Night” with $5.00 general admission to the grandstands.  Come out and witness the side by side battles in the PA Legacy Series.
