The Cover
Insurance sponsored PA Legacy Series had a full field of cars on
a chilly night at Jennerstown Speedway on Saturday, April
29,2001.
Heat race
winners were Will Thomas of Hermitage, PA and Jayme Bolkovac of
Greensburg, PA.
An early
feature race mishap occurred when Bill Miller spun while leading
the race on lap 2. This accident involved several cars, Chris
Brink, and Rich Taylor, both of which had no where to go. On
the restart, it was the heat race winners, Bolkovac and Thomas,
battling side by side for several laps. Caution was once again
shown when race leader, Will Thomas, spun in turn 2. He was
unharmed and started in the back and shown a charge to the
front. At the cross flags, it was Bolkovac, Anderson, and
Thomas at the flags. The rest of the event had the machines of
Thomas and Anderson battling side by side while Bolkovac had a
comfortable lead. At the checkered flag, it was Jayme Bolkovac,
of Greensburg, PA followed by Will Thomas, Ricky Anderson,
Marshall Biddington, and rookie Joey Dennewitz.
The next
scheduled event for the Cover Insurance PA Legacy Series is next
Saturday night, May 5, 2001, at Jennerstown Speedway.
