JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY PRACTICE A SUCCESS

Jennerstown, PA- (April 17, 2000)- This past Saturday marks the first time cars have been on the speedway under the direction of Team Three Motor Sports, Inc. All six weekly divisions were well represented at the speedway for their first of two practice days.

Everyone was anxious to see what would happen with the removal of the restrictor plates and the new Late Model and Pro Truck tires. The vehicles seemed to be sparked with renewed life and excitement. All of the drivers seemed pleased with the performance of their cars.

Aside from some minor incidents on the track, the practice was a complete success. All of the sessions ran on schedule and the track operations seemed to flow flawlessly. The addition of a second practice day will help drivers prepare better and give them an extra day in case of bad weather. The speedway is looking ahead to next week’s practice on April 22. They are expecting to see the same drivers from the first practice and also many drivers who were not able to make it on Saturday.

This week’s practice will be on Saturday April 22, 2000. Gates will open at 11:00am with practice scheduled to run from 1pm – 5pm. The Mountain 96.5 will present opening day on Saturday April 29, 2000. It will be a $5 admission fan appreciation night featuring six divisions of racing and a spectacular fireworks display to end the evening.
