The PA Legacy Series season opener took place at Motordrome Speedway on Friday, April 14, 2000.  The crowd witnessed some good racing and caution free action in the Legacy division.  The heat race was won by veteran, Rick Boyer in the #04 Monte Carlo. 

The feature event also went caution free with action through out the field.  Rick Anderson of Champion, PA jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.  Rookie PJ Ehrlich of Oakmont, PA and Rick Boyer of Blairsville, PA chased Anderson the entire race.  Further back in the field, Bill Miller and Ed Boyer battled for several laps with Ed Boyer overtaking Bill Miller with only a few laps remaining. 

At the checkered, it was Rick Anderson followed by PJ Ehrlich, Rick Boyer, Jayme Bolkovac, and Ed Boyer. 

Next scheduled practice is at Jennerstown Speedway on Saturday, April 22, 2000 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Next scheduled event is opening night at Jennerstown Speedway on Saturday, April 29, 2000.
